Lakeland Immediate Care Center (Cassopolis Family Clinic) is located in Cassopolis, Cass County, Michigan. Designated Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Cassopolis Family Clinic plans to replace the existing 9,400 square-foot facility with a new 30,000 square-foot state-of-the-art health center with funding received from the Department of Health and Human Services Administration (HRSA) under their Affordable Health Care Act (ACA) Grants for Capital Development in Health Centers program.

The first floor was planned to offer 24 medical exam rooms (10×12), two procedure rooms, nurses’ stations, medication storage, lab, pharmacy, mammography, patient waiting, registration and checkout, patient restrooms, provider offices and financial counseling and referral offices. The second floor was to house medical records, administrative and business offices, an employee lounge, community space, mechanical space, storage and 3,500 square-feet of shell space for future expansion. The exterior of the project involves construction of required parking, drive aisles and entryways to meet local parking requirements. Pedestrian walkways will be concrete and green space will be optimized.

As a result of a donation of five acres of property from the County of Cass, the clinic will now be constructed on a vacant parcel of land located on the southeast corner of M-62 and Don Horne Park Road in Cassopolis. This will require modification of the existing schematic design to align with the features of the new site.
