Amelia Lietzau, Agent
Having grown up in the greater Kalamazoo area, Amelia Barker-King has been a lifelong resident of this wonderful community. Amelia attended Kalamazoo College where she played softball and majored in biology. While there, she lived in Ecuador for six months, gaining familiarity with the Spanish language.
She offers an analytical, fun perspective on aspects of Southwest Michigan, enthusiastic energy, as well as polished data analysis skills. As an essential part of The Barton Group team, she loves helping clients achieve their real estate and property goals. She enjoys working with real estate investors, business owners, town officials, and property owners to fulfill their specific needs. With great tutoring from her partner at The Barton Group, she has completed several transactions in her real estate career, gaining useful experience and expertise with each one.
Amelia loves the economic and community development aspects of real estate. Working on several projects to restore or to craft economic vibrancy, she has a large passion for the outlying towns in Southwest Michigan. She has successfully helped to bring several industrial, office and retail businesses to her projects in small towns.
Gaining experience with construction consulting, Amelia loves the finer details of construction and communication with building owners. Her favorite projects entail helping nonprofits save money throughout the process by representing them throughout the construction.
Amelia is involved with Great Expectations Chapter of BNI in Kalamazoo, Mattawan Business Association as Vice President, Young Professionals, and Greater Paw Paw Business Network. Outside of business, Amelia enjoys coaching softball; this year she is coaching a 14 and under travel softball team. She also loves spending time with her family, friends, and animals.
